An update + your next steps with PEAT
Hello,
We hope this finds you well, wherever you are at the moment.
At PEAT, our work continues to centre around one simple but profound principle —
learning how to understand the communication between the body and the mind through emotion.
Over time, this becomes more than something we learn.
It becomes something we begin to see, feel, and recognise — in ourselves, in others, and in the way we move through life.
For those of you who have been with us for some time, you will know this space well.
And for those of you who are newer here — exploring, observing, or beginning to step in — you are very welcome.

At its core, this work is about learning how to listen differently.
To understand how the body and mind communicate through emotion —
not in the simple or surface-level way we often use the word,
but as a complex, intelligent language that reflects our patterns, adaptations, experiences, and internal responses.
To recognise the language held in the face, the hands, the feet, and the structure of the body itself.
To begin interpreting what has been stored, expressed, or adapted over time.
For many of us, this is the first time we begin to understand what the body has been communicating all along.
In learning to read ourselves — and, over time, others — there can be moments of real clarity.
At times, even cathartic.
Where simple awareness begins to undo years of holding ourselves in a certain way.
Where past experiences, trauma, and what has remained undigested can begin to shift —
not through force, but through understanding.
This movement happens with care —
somatically, emotionally, physically, and mentally.
Psychosomatic therapy works with the entire feedback loop.
Not just through talking.
And not just through release.

A small but important update
Our upcoming Melbourne In-Person Training, originally scheduled for May 11–16, has now moved to July 24–29, 2026.
This shift comes from a place of care.
With some travel uncertainty present, we felt it was important to remove any unnecessary pressure or stress surrounding the training — and allow the experience to unfold with more ease and certainty for everyone involved.
The depth of this work asks for presence, not pressure.
We still have a small number of places available, so if you have been considering joining us in person, that space is still open.

The Practitioner Pathway — beginning July 10
Our next 12-month Practitioner Qualification in Psychosomatic Therapy & Emotional Anatomy begins on July 10.
This pathway supports both personal development and professional application.
The first 6 months is a deep look at you —
your patterns, your behaviours, your emotional responses —
developing the ability to interpret and understand your own internal communication.
The second 6 months begins to open that awareness outward —
working with others, completing case studies, and witnessing the work in action.
This is not just a training in technique —
it is a process of becoming someone who can sit with, read, and respond to the human experience with clarity and depth.
You will be supported through weekly training calls and ongoing support sessions, and move into the in-person training and clinic days when the timing aligns for you.
You have up to 2 years to complete your certification.
During this time, you also have access to all training and support calls — allowing you to join new cohorts as they come online and continue deepening within the group space.
Over time, this work becomes more than a training —
it becomes a shared language, a way of seeing, and a community you can return to.

Moving forward
Wherever you find yourself right now, there is a way to step forward that meets you.
You may feel ready to begin now —
to step into Level 1 Online Training, deepen your understanding, and join the weekly calls.
Or you may feel the pull to begin alongside others —
joining the July 10 cohort, and moving through the process within a shared rhythm.
Whether you are here for your own process,
or to extend your work into others,
both pathways begin in the same place — awareness.

This work is not about getting somewhere quickly.
It is about learning how to listen,
how to interpret,
and how to respond to the body–mind communication with clarity.
Awareness creates understanding.
Understanding creates change.
If you feel the pull, you are welcome to step in.
And if you need to feel it out, you are always welcome to reach out —
we are here to meet you where you are.
Warmly,
Bianca, Gillian & the PEAT Team
