The Art of Breathing

A return to the body through breath, awareness, and experience

The Psychosomatic Intelligence of Breath is a journey into the emotional anatomy of breath and being — a return to rhythm, presence, and emotional truth.

by Bianca Moeschinger

Breath is our most intimate partner.

It moves with us through everything —
supporting, responding, regulating.

Even when we are not aware of it,
it is working in our favour,
holding the rhythm of life within us.

This work is not about improving your breath.
It is about understanding it — and what it reflects within you.

This course is not about learning how to breathe “better.”
It is about becoming aware of the relationship between your breath, your body, your emotions, and your mind — and what begins to shift when you start to listen.

Breath is not something you do.
It is something you are in relationship with.

The Work

The body is not separate from your experience.
It is where your experience is lived.

The Art of Breathing is a guided exploration into the body–mind relationship through breath.

Breath is our most immediate and intimate partner in the body.

It reflects what is happening,
while also supporting and regulating the system in real time.

It is both responsive to our experience,
and influential within it.

Working with breath in this way is not about applying technique.

It is about recognising how the body, the emotions, and the mind are already in communication — and how breath sits within that exchange.

From there, awareness begins to develop naturally — allowing you to feel and work with that relationship directly.

What This Work Opens

As awareness develops, the experience of the body begins to shift.

Not through force — but through recognition.

  • Subtle holding patterns within the body
  • Changes in breath with emotion and thought
  • The relationship between posture and internal state
  • A greater sense of space within the body
  • A more direct connection to feeling and response

These shifts are often subtle —
but once recognised, they begin to change the way you experience yourself.

Awareness changes the system —
without force.

How the Course is Structured

The course moves through a series of explorations, rather than steps.

  • Observing the breath — rhythm, structure, intelligence
  • Understanding the feedback loop (mind–emotion–body)
  • Exploring the diaphragm and internal cavities
  • Movement and awareness practices
  • Developing your own relationship with breath

Working With Breath

There has been a growing interest in more activating and intensive styles of breathwork.  These approaches can create strong shifts in the body and system.

This course approaches breath differently. Rather than beginning with intensity, it begins with understanding.

Recognising how your breath already moves.
Where it holds.
What it reflects.

From this foundation, the body has the capacity to respond in a way that is more integrated and supportive.

About Bianca

I have spent years working closely with the body — observing, feeling, and understanding how it holds and communicates experience.

Through my work as an emotional release bodyworker, my training in psychosomatic therapy, and my background as a BioMedical Yoga and Meditation Therapist, I began to observe consistent patterns — in how people hold, breathe, respond and react.

Not only in others — but within myself.

In learning to witness my own body,
to feel what I had previously held,
to move towards rather than away from my internal experience and emotions —
I began to understand the intelligence within it.

And the role breath plays within that.

Not as a technique,
but as something that reflects, responds, and supports the system in real time.

Over time, this became a central point of access in my work.

This course is an extension of that —
a way of beginning to understand and work with your own body–mind communication, through breath.

What you learn to feel,
you learn to work with.

This is where the work begins...

It begins with noticing.
Noticing the breath.
Noticing the body.
Noticing what is already there.
There is nothing here to force.
Nothing to achieve.
Only something to become familiar with.
Once you begin to feel it,
you begin to understand it.
